WestJet and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), representing WestJet cabin crew, have reached a tentative agreement, bringing an end to the work stoppage and network-wide operational disruption. Strike and lockout notices have been withdrawn. The agreement will now go to WestJet Cabin Crew for a ratification vote.
While this is an important step forward, the impact of recent labour disruptions on our scheduled flights means that a full return to normal operations will take time. As we resume flying and repositioning our aircraft and crews, some flights may continue to be disrupted. We are grateful for your continued patience and understanding; our teams are working to safely restore our operation as soon as possible.
If your guests’ flight is cancelled, we will reach out to the email address associated with the booking with available options. If your guests have planned travel in the coming days, we recommend they check their flight status before departing for the airport. Our teams are working hard to find new flights for those disrupted, and we appreciate your patience as we work to help all affected guests as quickly as possible.
If your guests have not received a flight cancellation, we’ve extended our flexible options to guests with travel planned through to August 6, 2026. |
