US News and World Report released a report on the 2016 Best Cruise Lines which compared the top 15 cruise companies over six categories. In an industry becoming increasingly more competitive the report is to helps traveller navigate the choices for their “must haves” within their budget.

"Cruise lines are pioneering the onboard experience with new customizable amenities and expanded entertainment options, and travelers are reaping the benefits," said Gwen Shearman, travel editor at US News. "The Best Cruise Lines rankings help travellers decipher which cruise lines and ships will meet their expectations and fit their vacation preferences."

The factors that determine rankings are; reputation among travellers, health assessment reports (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) as well as price class and itinerary values.
