BRUSSELS AIRLINES LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE FROM TORONTO

Brussels Airlines begins their weekly non-stop flight service between Toronto Pearson and Brussels Airport starting today. This is great news for the city that is still recovering from the horrific airport bombings that took place last month.

There are five flights per week, leaving Toronto every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1830 in the evening, and arriving the next morning in Brussels at 0750 local time. The return flight to Toronto departs from Brussels Airport at 1030 and arrives at Pearson at 1320.

The Airbus A330 aircraft offers Business and Economy Class cabins, featuring on-demand in-flight entertainment, culinary delights prepared by Belgian Michelin starred chefs (only out of Brussels), and select Belgian beers and chocolates.

Brussels Airlines is member of the Lufthansa Group, the Miles & More frequent Flyer Programme and the Star Alliance. In Canada Brussels Airlines will be represented by the sales team of Lufthansa, and Air Canada will codeshare on their aircraft. “We are delighted to add Toronto and Canada to our growing network and to introduce our award winning in-flight product to the market”, says Brussels Airlines director North America.

Christophe Allard. “We’re very pleased to welcome Brussels Airlines to Toronto Pearson”, said Craig Bradbrook, vice president, Aviation Services, Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

Brussels Airlines flights will arrive and leave in/from Toronto’s Pearson airport Terminal 1. Media Relations manager Kim Daenen noted that introductory fares are in place, offering the best value on the market.
