Re-protection options for passengers travelling to/from China

Following the Government of Canada's advisory to avoid non-essential travel to mainland China, we have temporarily suspended all direct flights to Beijing and Shanghai effective January 30, 2020 until February 29, 2020.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and will adjust our schedule as needed. In the meantime, please re-protect your customers per the relevant policy ensuring the correct ticket endorsement/OSI is provided:

Within 48 hours

Outside of 48 hours

  • For flights outside of 48 hours, regardless if a segment status cancellation (UN/HX) is received or not, the Goodwill Policy for re-protection on AC Pacific segments may be applied
    • Use ticket endorsement: CHINAJAN20
    • Use refund waiver code: ACPEKPVGCV+flight number
  • Alternatively, the Schedule Change policy may be applied if a segment status cancellation (UN/HX) is received up Feb. 8, 2020 (from Canada)/Feb. 9, 2020 (from China) – refunds are permitted, as well as OAL per the instructions below.
  • Customers on cancelled flights up to February 8-9, 2020, have the option to apply whichever policy is best suited to their needs.
