"Going through the locks is an entirely unique experience. We were essentially taking a massive ship escalator over a mountain... it is an incredible technological feat. From the Virgin Voyages side, it was fascinating to actually see Brilliant Lady put her lifeboats into "Panama Mode". Having a Panama Canal expert on board providing live commentary added so much great context to the day as well. Plus, the livestream showing the Happenings Cast moving around the ship was a really nice touch to keep the energy up everywhere."

"In short, crossing the Panama Canal was nothing short of Brilliant! Throughout the day, announcements provided details of our surroundings, history of the locks, the lake and the bridges we crossed under.
Surrounding us was a lush green landscape that reminded me of Neverland and it was easy to imagine the Mermaid's lagoon, see where the fairies were flying through the trees and coves where pirates were likely hiding. Sailors onboard spent most of their day top side where at one point there was even a brief rain shower followed by a rainbow that perfectly capped the day off."
