Kansas City

Kansas City

Sitting on Missouri's western border, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, Kansas City is the largest city in the U.S. State of Missouri and the sixth largest city in the Midwest. It is the anchor city of the Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the Kansas–Missouri border. Founded in the 1830s, the modern city has several distinguished neighborhoods, each with its own rich history, such as: one of America's largest public farmers' markets located in the River Market District in the north, the cradle of a distinctive form of jazz in the 18th and Vine District in the east, and the Spanish-styled architecture and upscale shops of the Country Club Plaza in the south. Kansas City is also known for its cuisine (most notably its distinctive style of barbecue), its craft breweries, and its major league sports teams.

Branson Township

Branson Township

Branson is a city in Taney County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It was named after Reuben Branson, postmaster and operator of a general store in the area in the 1880s. Branson is a popular destination for vacationers from Missouri and the surrounding states. The population was 6,050 at the 2000 census. Local attractions include The Hollywood Wax Museum, Silver Dollar City, White Water, Waltzing Waters, Mount Pleasant Winery, Stone Hill Winery, Ride The Ducks, Ripley's Odditorium, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, The Haunted House and Monster Asylum, Butterfly Palace & Rainforest Adventure, Predator World and Branson Landing. Branson Landing opened in the summer of 2006 on the Lake Taneycomo waterfront in downtown Branson. The lakefront project includes retail space with Bass Pro Shops and Hudson Belk as anchors in an outdoor shopping mall of stores and restaurants. Two animal attractions are Butterfly Palace & Rainforest Adventure, a palace filled with thousands of flying butterflies in a mystical rainforest maze; and Wings of the World, a home to many birds of the world. $$https://vimeo.com/24744557$$

St Louis

St Louis

St. Louis is an independent city and the second-largest city in the U.S. state of Missouri. The city has a 2010 population of 319,294 and is the principal municipality of Greater St. Louis, population 2,892,874, the largest urban area in Missouri, the 4th largest urban area in the Midwest, and 15th-largest in the United States. The city was founded in 1764 just south of the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers in what is today the Midwestern United States by colonial French traders Cooper Hausmann and René Auguste Chouteau, who named the settlement after King Louis IX of France. The early wealth of the city was based on the fur trade. The city, as well as the future state of Missouri, became part of the Spanish Empire after the French were defeated in the Seven Years' War.

Wichita

Wichita

Wichita is the largest city in the U.S. state of Kansas. As of the 2000 United States Census, it had a population of 344,284, growing to an estimated 372,186 by 2009. Located in south-central Kansas on the Arkansas River, Wichita is the county seat of Sedgwick County and the principal city of the Wichita metropolitan area. As of 2009, the metro area had an estimated population of 612,683. The city was incorporated in 1870, based on the success of businessmen who came to hunt and trade with native populations. Its position on the Chisholm Trail made it a destination for cattle drives heading north to access railroads to eastern markets. In the 20th century, aircraft pioneers such as Clyde Cessna, Walter Beech and Bill Lear began projects that would lead to Wichita's nicknaming as the Air Capital of the World.

Missouri

Missouri

Missouri is a U.S. state located in the Midwestern United States. It comprises 114 counties and one independent city and its capital is Jefferson City. Known as the "Show-Me State", Missouri is landlocked and sits where the Midwest meets the South, and the state’s central location along with its great rivers, has made it an important hub for explorers and pioneers over the centuries.
