Palma is a resort city and capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca), in the western Mediterranean. The massive Santa María cathedral, a Gothic landmark begun in the 13th century, overlooks the Bay of Palma. The adjacent Almudaina is a Moorish-style Arab fortress converted to a royal residence. West of the city, hilltop Bellver Castle is a medieval fortress with a distinctive circular shape.

Known for its sun and beach tourism, it also has an attractive historic quarter. The Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the Lonja fish market and Plaza Mayor are some of the sites that are well worth visiting.

Is Mallorca expensive?

Majorca isn't the cheapest destination. If I compare it to Malta, it's much more expensive. Although, it is still possible to travel to Majorca on a budget.

How many days do you need in Palma de Mallorca?

Spend only one or two days in Palma. Palma is a fine city, but it's not the best base when having a car (parking issues). If you go then better go for 8 days. Even with 8 days you will have to be selective.
