“Big Disappointment!!”

We thought we had booked a vacation package that included all drinks and 3 meals a day, this was not the case. We argued with the staff and management and they were not accomodating. In the end we were offered 4 beers a day/per couple. The resort does have a lovely restaurant but since we were part of the "all inclusive" option we had to order from a separate menu which only had 3 choices for lunch/dinner. Breakfast was buffet style with limited choices. We were offered wine with dinner but only 1 glass. When we asked for more we were told they had run out. They also ran out of beer the first night we were there. We did try to order dessert but apparently had run out of that too. It should be noted that this resort is really open to the public. There are rental suites on the resort as well as units that can be purchased. The security guards walk around with large baseball bats and we were told it was due to the locals parties getting out of hand. We did not see that while we were there but we ended up changing resorts and having to pay additional costs after only 2 days here. The rooms were very similar to what you see online but we were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the room on arrival and we did find a cockroach in the bathtub. Overall, I do not feel this resort is of 4 star quality and I would definitely go with another resort if looking in the Ochos area.

The strong points Location is great on the mountain and in very close proximity to downtown Ocho Rios. Restaurant is very good if you are not part of the "all inclusive" option but they need to work on having items listed on the menu available to customers. The weak points Terrible customer service. No beach on site. Only 1 bar.

“As expected”

this hotel was what we expected. It is a 3 star, but with some improvements & better management has potential to be 4 star. The staff were very good. the rooms were clean but we did have to pay for an upgrade to a room that was suitable. There was a major mold issue in the bathroom of one of the rooms. The restaurant staff & food was amazing, but they ran out of wine a couple of nights, the management needs to step it up on this front & make sure wine & all menu items are available. Resort would not be great for older people as far as the hill to climb if walking to/from resort and they would want a ground floor room. We enjoyed the exercise though!

The strong points friendly staff, clean rooms, good food. The weak points room upgrade cost, mold in bathroom, poor management of hotel & restaurant.
