“Great place!”

This is a very nice resort with fantastic personnel. The employees are all wonderful and very cheerful. The shows were very good and the recreational staff was a joy. there is a fantastic reef just off the beach.

The strong points all of it was really great The weak points Some mosquitoes in the evenings.

“3rd visit to this resort”

This was the 3rd annual visit to this resort for my older daughter and I (it was previously 'Breezes Jibacoa'). The staff remained the same, which is their biggest asset, and the food was as good as ever. We had a great time, and we would definitely return again. The minimum age now for guests is 16 (compared to the former 'Breezes' age limit of 14), which will unfortunately affect us in years to come, as we still have children that are about to turn 10 and 12. **Please note my ratings of 'as expected' are because we've been there before. This place is a definite gem.**

The strong points The staff are fantastic, and the food is great. I consider the fact there's no wifi to be a bonus...it forces people to put down their phones and interact with one another. We've met some really great people there. The weak points They need to air condition the main buffet restaurant. Seriously. And they need to fix the AC in the big disco. I was told they'll have wifi in the lobby in September, and I really don't think that's a step ahead. Yes...I'm a dinosaur. LOL

“Great Resort”

This Resort was great, the staff very nice, the food was excellent, the service was great. No line ups anywhere. The beach has a lot of rocks. Would recommend beach shoes to go in the water, snorkeling is fantastic with lots of fish.

The strong points The resort, the food, the drinks, the service. The weak points Beach has a lot of rocks and requires beach shoes in the water.

“Just for Takin' it Easy”

Had a lovely time. The only thing I could recommend is some soft music in the lobby (not the loud music videos that were playing). The dining had some good live entertainment but some soft Cuban background music would be perfect other times as it was dead quiet the rest of the time. I did not like the Cuban restaurant because it was sooo cold. I asked if they could turn down the air conditioner and they said it was broken. Other people that were there the same time later told me they asked and the same person turned off the air conditioner for them. Thanks, I got a bad cold. The main dining restaurant food was ok, lots of healthy selections but much of the cooked main entrees were too salty. The staff were mostly attentive, special thanks to Orielles in the dining room; always cheery and helpful, Henry and Nivaldo at the water sports centre; so friendly and easy going and all the grounds people who kept the landscape looking totally impeccable. I felt bad for the security team, management - please give them a chair if they have to be in one spot for hours. I don't know how they do it. Just a reminder to others to bring their own drink mug. I felt awful at how many plastic cups went into landfill, so I started reusing mine. Overall a relaxing, generally more sophisticated and older crowd hangs out here. I am glad that smoking was banned in the main areas or it would have been intolerable for me. As it was, I could not sit on my own balcony as I was bombarded by chain smokers on each side who totally ruined that part of my experience. It would have been nice to relax there.

The strong points Loved being off the beaten path. The weak points Salty food and smokers.

“Breezes Jibacoa”

The room was quite spacious with adequate amenities. We had a garden view which was quite nice. The buffet food was alright while the two sit down establishments were very good. The beach was good for snorkelling with the reef being right there, although the beach was red flagged much of the time. The grounds were quite nice and the pool was large. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Internet access was poor.

The strong points The resort was very peaceful. Nice snorkelling The weak points Poor internet access

“Breezes Jibacoa”

Excellent all round, except for the food, it was inconsistent. The omelette and pasta bars were great and so was the sandwich shop. It would be nice to have the sandwich shop open earlier, at noon perhaps, or have a sandwich bar in the restaurant. Our dinner at the Italian restaurant was also great.

The strong points our room, staff, resort layout, location, several bars, adults only, champagne! The weak points food

“Still my favourite vacation spot”

Having been there many times in the past I was not expecting any surprises and was not disappointed. The food quality was a little below par this visit but it is off season and the hotel was not full so I really wasn't surprised. The staff is still wonderful as usual

The strong points location, staff The weak points food quality -n buffet not as hot as it should be
