Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Cruise Travellers

Luxury yacht-like experience for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender travellers as well as their friends, family and supporters.

The world’s first year round cruise line dedicated to the LGBT community was announced this week. Miami based Anteros Cruises will launch service in April 2017 with sailings to the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. The line, which will operate its own vessel will accommodate 400 passengers, providing a luxury yacht-like experience for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender travellers as well as their friends, family and supporters.

“We are thrilled to present this novel, overdue concept in travel dedicated to the LGBT traveller, featuring itineraries to popular as well as off-the-beaten-path ports that are designed to make the LGBT traveler feel completely welcome and catered to every step of the way,” said David Huang, the cruise company’s director. The ship will cruise the Mediterranean during summer and fall months, making Barcelona and Piraeus (Athens) its homeports. During winter months, Caribbean homeports will include St. Maarten and Colon. Sailings will be from five to 14 days, with "premium itineraries and service across a wide range of price points to deliver on its promise of inclusivity," the company stated.

Anteros promises personalized service on-board with ports of call customized for the LGBT community, such as Pride Celebrations.
