The main kitchen features GE Cafe stainless appliances, separate ice-maker, and quartz counter tops. The main level, open floor plan incorporates the kitchen, living room, outdoor dining terrace, pool with waterfall feature, grill, and cabana area. Relax by the pool, read a book in the cabana, or head to the roof terrace to stargaze! Enjoy 42-inch Smart TVs with Blu-ray DVD players, and Sonos Play:5 speakers for optimal music sound.
The third-floor master suite features a king bed, breakfast bar, and a private terrace with amazing ocean views. Two of the remaining guest bedrooms have private covered outdoor terraces, and a third has an open rooftop terrace. In addition to individually controlled air-conditioning, all bedrooms have ceiling fans, top of the line mattresses, linens and towels.
The bunk room opens onto the media/playroom, giving the kids additional space to play while staying within earshot of the main living spaces.
Two lower-level bedrooms (king and full beds) share a kitchenette and second laundry facility. This space has dual access from the main house as well as from an entry garden opening onto Paseo de Los Ninos. This allows additional privacy for members of your group or is available to rent separately.
We provide daily maid service, including daily toiletries. In addition, our “House Mom” will prepare breakfast every morning, and fresh fruit juices, smoothies, and salsas during the day. The beach, a new beach club, and Limonada Restaurant are seconds away. Hiking and biking trails are voluminous, and Pura Vida Ride Shop rents paddle boards, snorkel equipment, and kayaks on-site. Arrangements can be made with the concierge for transportation from the airport, purchase of your groceries, off-site boating excursions and other activities, and coordination of on-site private chef or spa services.

Boogie Boarding
Playa Danta is one of the best body surfing and boogie boarding beaches you will ever find. Go at medium to low tides when the beach is very flat. The swells are typically moderate, safe, spaced 15 seconds apart, and perfectly formed. These waves are unlike anything many of us have seen in other parts of the world. Costa Rica has many famous surfing beaches but Las Catalinas is partially sheltered from the prevailing southern swell, and that is what makes Playa Danta “just right” for boogie boarding.
Snorkeling
Some of the best snorkeling in Costa Rica is right at Las Catalinas. The best spots are wherever you see rocks: the far side of Playa Dantita, the reef in between Danta and Dantita, along the shore of Punta Penca, or out at the Islotes Pitahayas islands just offshore. You’ll find lots of reef fish, coral, interesting underwater topography, big spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, and who knows what else.
Kayaking and Paddle-Boarding
Las Catalinas is an ideal location for sea kayaking and stand up paddle-boarding. The protected bay of Playa Danta is perfect for beginners and often offers glassy smooth conditions. The Islotes Pitahayas just one kilometer offshore is a great destination with the swell surging dramatically on the rocks. The islands are a famous nesting site of pelicans and frigate birds. The coastline in both directions is dramatic and interesting with a variety of beautiful beaches, cliffs, and great snorkeling and swimming all within paddling range.
