The Rolling Stones are reportedly heading for Cuba.  The just announced stop is part of the “America Latina Ole” tour of South America. The announcement that the band is set to play Havana on March 25, came from cultural officials in the island nation, not from the Stones. Billboard said the deal has not been finalized.

There have been rumors of a Stones stop in Cuba since Mick Jagger visited Havana in October. The Cuban paper Granma said the Stones would likely perform at Latinoamericano Stadium. The paper said it would be, “a historic moment that will open the doors for other great bands to arrive in Havana.”US officials have loosened some travel restrictions to Cuba, but the country is still officially blocked by an American-imposed trade embargo that bars US companies from doing business with the Communist country.
