RIU Hotels in Cancun Reopen to Visitors

Posted on 06/22/2020 | About Cancún, Mexico

Riu Palace Peninsula reopened to visitors last week, and Riu Cancun followed with a reopening this week. These are the first hotels within the brand to open in the Mexican Caribbean, and both are located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone.

This upscale, all-inclusive beachfront resort is 7 km from El Museo subaquàtico de Arte (MUSA) underwater art gallery.

Sleek rooms with balconies feature flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi, plus whirlpool tubs, minibars and coffeemakers; many have views of the Caribbean Sea. Suites and adults-only villas add sitting areas; some have pull-out sofas or terraces with hot tubs. Room service is available 24/7.

Meals are included, as are water sports. There are restaurants serving Japanese, Italian and regional fare. Additional amenities include 4 outdoor pools, a gym and a spa, plus a kids' club and live entertainment.
