LUFTHANSA TO ACQUIRE BRUSSELS AIRLINES

Posted on 09/29/2016 | About Germany

Lufthansa’s Supervisory Board approved the exercising of a call option to acquire the remaining 55 percent of shares in SN Airholding, the parent company of Brussels Airlines. That approval paves the way for Lufthansa’s full acquisition of Brussels Airlines.

The common goal of Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines is to complete the transaction by early 2017, after a final vote on the procedures of the call option with existing shareholders.
