This guy really did want to get to his high school reunion. Marc Rehmar ran onto the tarmac at Denver International Airport in August to try stopping a plane that was pushing back from the gate. He pleaded guilty to tampering this week.

Rehmar 58, pushed open a secure emergency exit at the airport and went running onto the ramp, straight towards the plane that was about to depart to Ohio, KMGH reported. He set the alarm off and security video shows him chasing and nearly catching up to the United Airlines aircraft. Almost immediately airport vehicles approach and airport personnel stop and speak to him. His juvenile behaviour caused him to be initially charged with felony hindering and endangering public transportation, but those charges were dismissed in exchange for his tampering guilty plea, prosecutors said.

He was sentenced to two years of probation and 100 hours of community service.
