HAPPY ENDING Bedtime story has fairytale ending

A British Dad wrote a bedtime for his daughters and then decided to self publish it. He sent a copy to Virgin Airlines and was stunned when the airline responded the same day, asking to order 2,000 for their flights so it can hand them out to children on night flights.

Regularly throughout their childhood, Stephen Holmes would tell his two children, Madison and Ella, the story about two kids who were taken on a balloon ride with a talking owl.
Last summer, Madison told her father that he should publish the tale and earlier this year he decided to print 1,000 copies to sell to family, friends and people in his local community.
Holmes, who is a data manager, sent it to Virgin Atlantic on a whim after tracking down an employee on LinkedIn.
Holmes told The Guardian, 'I was trying my luck, I was stunned when they wanted to take it up.
“They flew the books out to Orlando and they’re handing them out to families on the night flight back to the UK.”
Virgin Atlantic’s Matt Webster added, “We were instantly charmed by Stephen’s endearing book, as well as the story behind it, and felt it would be a great hit with families on night-time flights.”
Holmes is hoping that the company will purchase more books for other flights if the initial print run proves a success.
