Halifax police are being tight-lipped after charging a man and woman following a potential threat involving Halifax Stanfield International Airport.  Authorities are not releasing any details about the alleged threat or the tip that led police to two arrests.

But Halifax Regional Police Constable Dianne Woodworth did say they are “definitely looking into further charges.”Police say third-hand information came to them early Thursday about a potential threat involving a person with connections to the airport.Woodworth noted, however, that it “wasn't a direct threat.”Forty-eight-year-old Derek Russell Strum was arrested Thursday at an apartment building in nearby Dartmouth.Later in the day, police arrested 46-year-old Diana Lynn Richard of Dartmouth, who Woodworth said is known to Strum. Both are facing four counts of possession of a prohibited device in relation to four over-capacity cartridge rifle magazines.
