FLIGHT ATTENDANTS AT CZECH AIRLINE ON STRIKE

Flight attendants at the Czech national carrier CSA will go on a three-day strike over low pay. The cabin crew union says the strike begins Wednesday. It did not say, however, how many flight attendants are expected to participate in the strike and how many flights will be affected.
CSA said in a statement Monday that it considers the strike illegal and is taking measures to prevent flight cancellations. Details of the plan were not given.

As a member of the SkyTeam alliance, CSA provides flights to 48 destinations in 24 countries this summer.

The Czech government sold a 44 per cent stake in the airline to Korea Air in 2013 as it sought a strategic partner for CSA. The Czech state still owns almost 20 per cent.
