Air Transat announced that its first direct flight from Toronto to Curaçao took off on December 20. On arrival, passengers on inaugural flight TS618 enjoyed a welcome ceremony organized for the occasion by the Curaçao International Airport.

Until the beginning of April 2016, Air Transat will fly Canadian tourists to Curaçao every Sunday from Toronto. Transat will also offer four premium resorts, namely the Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino, the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, the Hilton Curaçao and the Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino. One of the Caribbean’s best-kept secrets, Curaçao has seen a recent increase in tourism from Canada.
