Porter Airlines ONE MILLION FROM THUNDER BAY

Thunder Bay was Porter Airline’s first northern Ontario destination in 2009. This week Brittany Mascioli departing Thunder Bay on Flight 634 at 2:05 p.m. became the one millionth passenger on the route and was presented with a pair of roundtrip tickets to any Porter destination.

“Since we began Thunder Bay service in 2009, passengers have continued to embrace our convenient schedule and affordable fares,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines.
In fact the airline is increasing the number of flights between Thunder Bay and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, offering up to six daily round-trips, effective September 6, 2016.
Three direct flights from Thunder Bay will have a short stopover in Toronto and continue to both Ottawa and Montreal. Passengers will not have to deplane in Toronto.
Porter is the only airline out of Billy Bishop operating flights to Thunder Bay and Ed Schmidtke, president and chief executive officer, Thunder Bay Airport Authority said that “Porter has played a vital role in connecting Thunder Bay to downtown Toronto and select destinations throughout Canada and the United States.”
“There are many loyal Thunder Bay passengers, as well as new ones trying Porter every day,” adds Deluce.
“Our entire team is grateful for each of the one-million trips people have chosen to fly with us and we are committed to providing the service they have come to expect from us.”
