LOOKING UP IN ST.KITTS

Tourism development is a priority for 2016 in St Kitts, with Prime Minister Timothy Harris offering improvements that include a second cruise pier and the construction of new hotels within the next two years including Koi Resorts, Park Hyatt, Radisson and Embassy Suites.

“Our Nation welcomed the inaugural touch-down of United Airlines,” said Harris. “United now joins British Airways, US Air, and American Airlines that currently provide weekly linkages to the North American and European markets. This is indeed good news, as improved airlift facilitates increased stay-over visitor arrivals. Golfing tournaments and excursions also will witness increased activity.” Also planned is the completion of a construction project at Windsor University School of Medicine and an expansion of the pant of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Harris said the investment is to generate new money for the economy as well as jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities for service providers.
