Singer/guitarist Angie Keilhauer quit college three years ago to pursue a musical career on the Carnival's Breeze, Ecstasy, Glory and Legend. Last week on the second night of blind auditions she caught the attention of three judges on The Voice and will be working with judge Blake Shelton in this season’s competition.

Keilhauer, 24 feels she has benefited from her Carnival experience. "I auditioned for The Voice four years ago in an open call and didn't even make it into the first round." This year, after viewing one of her videos on YouTube she was contacted by a Voice producer. "They invited me to audition. I remember thinking how lucky I had been being on cruise ships."The El Salvador born singer now resides in Marietta, Georgia where she performs in small venues.  She describes choosing Shelton over Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams who also wanted to work with her because she didn’t want a safe choice. “He seemed like someone who would challenge me," she said. The day after her audition performance of Dierks Bentley's "I Hold On” it reached the top 30 country songs downloaded on iTunes.Shelton told her, “There’s something very undisciplined about how you performed. You are wild! And to have a girl take that approach in country music, it’s about damn time it happens!”
