A south African tour operator claims to have found wreckage from MH370 off the Mozambique coast. The twisted piece of debris, presumably from the missing Malaysia Airlines aircraft, has sparked a new theory that the plane exploded prior to crashing.

Previous theories have suggested the aircraft was under the pilot’s control when it was either intentionally crashed, or suffered some mechanical malfunction.
Tour operator Jean Viljoen said of the debris,“It’s kind of almost like a triangular shape.
“It probably stands about a meter wide and about, from point to point, maybe a metre long — so it’s quite big.
According to reports, Viljoen has given the piece of wreckage to local police who are investigating.
“It’s just the one very big piece that I’ve found so far, but I’m going to be going up and down our coastline with my boat and trying to see if there’s more.”
Mystery has surrounded the disappearance of the Boeing 777 which vanished in March 2014, while flying to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur with 239 people on board.
In July, officials Australia, Malaysia and China, announced they were winding down the search and it is expected to be abandoned in December.
Families of the crash victims have demanded the search continues.
