People travel across the world to witness unique natural wonders such as the Rocky Mountains and the Grand Canyon. But in Nova Scotia, amid the velvety night skies over Yarmouth and Digby counties, they come to see the galaxy.

As our planet’s population grows, so too does light pollution, clouding the atmosphere and the stellar wonders beyond it. Today, as few as 100 stars are visible from many urban centres.
