TONNES OF FUN Rccl Harmony slides into first

When the world’s largest cruise ship debuts in April, Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas promises a splashy launch. She will hold more passengers and be 20 percent more fuel efficient than her predecessors but her most prominent features will be the innovative water activities sure to tide her guests over.
The ship will have The Perfect Storm waterslides; that is three slides (three decks high) named Cyclone, Typhoon and Monsoon.   Splashaway Bay is a waterpark for kids and toddlers. For those fully clothed guests who are looking for a quick route from the AquaTheatre to the Boardwalk they can take the Ultimate Abyss. Ten stories of slide, 100 feet of plunge.

Harmony of the Seas is the third in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class series, behind Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. It has capacity for 5,479 passengers, based on double occupancy.

The first few voyages will be seven-night itineraries taking travellers to Barcelona, Mallorca, Provence, Florence, Pisa, Rome and Naples. November 2016, the ship will head home to Fort Lauderdale, for seven-night eastern and western Caribbean sailings.
