Paris is where you can find some of the most celebrated artworks in the world, and many famous artists, painters and sculptors took up residence here to complete their finest masterpieces. Head to the renowned Louvre Gallery –a stunning building in its own right where you can discover Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the statue of the Venus de Milo, and works by other celebrated renaissance artists such as Raphael and Michelangelo. The Orsay Museum is also well worth a visit and where you can find awe-inspiring paintings by, Cézanne, Monet, Renoir, Sisley, Van Gogh and many more, while offerings from Kadinsky, Matisse and Picasso can all be found at the Centre Pompidou.

If the weather is nice then a stroll through the stunning Tuileries Gardens will not disappoint. Here you can admire the carefully cultivated floral displays, and majestic statues. The gardens are situated by the sparkling River Seine and are a perfect spot for a picnic too. Talking of the River Seine, a Seine River Cruise is perfect way to enjoy views of the city and learn about its history. Cruises take you under the Pont Neuf –the oldest bridge in Paris and past the Louvre and the stunning Notre Dame Cathedral –one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in the world.

A trip to the Lido is sure to delight and a perfect family friendly activity. In the evenings you can head down here to enjoy a show or cabaret and a spot of fine dining too.

Paris is famous for its fashion, and if you love to shop then it is the place to be. Stroll down the beautiful chestnut tree-lined Champs Elysees, arguably the city’s most famous street, or head to the Galeries Lafayette, a classy Parisian department store.

Paris has many must see buildings that should be high on your list of places to visit. The most famous of course is the Eiffel Tower, the city’s most well-known landmark. An evening visit sees the tower lit up with glittering lights and makes for a spectacular sight. The Palace of Versailles is opulent and extravagant and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while the Arc De Triomphe, which stands proudly in the Place Charles de Gaulle, is one of the most famous monuments in Paris.
