“Pleasantly Suprised”

We were somewhat apprehensive about booking this resort due to mixed reviews however we can honestly say that we have no complaints for the price of this resort. We asked for a different room at check-in as they had us booked in Bldg #1 and they switched us to Bldg #5 with no hesitation. Service was great, food was great and overall just a great holiday. We would definitely recommend this resort. Very good bang for your buck.

The strong points Jerk Hut The weak points Water quite shallow

“Our Jamaican Vacay”

This hotel is a plain Jane hotel. I would actually rate it at 3-3 1/2 *. No extra goodies in your room, no room service, no in room bar, not what we are use to as a 4* or 5*. The food was great, service was good, drinks were great, grounds are kept nicely, People were very friendly. Entertainment was fantastic, better than we have had.Bed was great. beach was okay, Adult pool was great. we had a problem at checkin that our name was spelled differently than the reservation, but got it figured out

The strong points food , people , entertainment The weak points room & inroom ammendaties

“Nice Hotel”

This resort is small but it has all the amenities needed; even some slots machines and internet in the room. Our room (2424) on the 4th floor of building #2 was the best ever. We could see the pool and the ocean. We liked the small island near the beach for the snorkeling and peace for reading. The service was non-existent at the buffet for breakfast and lunch. We had to complain twice to the hostess and after that we had excellent service. The animation team wasn't bothersome. We had a great week and the nightly shows were very very good. note no smoking is allowed which is also good.

The strong points Little island with privacy and snorkeling. The weak points The service at the buffet.

The strong points room was ready on arrival, staff were helpful, lots of selection for food. was a fun week really had no complaints about the resort as a whole The weak points sliding door didn't work properly and was never fixed

“Great for Families”

Wonderful staff who maintained the property. Great for people travelling with children. The hotel also has an adult beach and pool area and rooms separate from the family areas. The beach area is in sections which allows you to be part of a large group, or find a quiet area by yourself. Food was the best and you could find something to eat at all hours. The Barefoot Bar opens at 10:00 p.m. for the late night snacks after "Showtime". Internet connection was fine in the lobby and if I connected, it would stay connected in our room, Building 5. I could not connect directly from our room. Everything was easy to find and staff would assist with any special requests.

The strong points Friendly staff, good food, great location, 15 minutes from the airport. The weak points Not suitable for young adults looking for night life. Main beach and pool are non-smoking which would be a positive for many families. Lots of children of all ages having a great time. There is an adult beach and pool where smoking is allowed.

“Always a charm”

The hotel staff go far out of their way to make our experience beyond comfortable. Simply great memories which include entertainment, great variety of food, drinks, and an awesome staff. Great for kids especially their kids club facility perk. Very reasonable for families.Grounds and beaches are well kept. Life experiencing sunrises and sets. Relaxing overall. Second family visit. Will be back again. Yah mon!

The strong points Courteous and friendly staff that go well above expectations to keep one comfortable. The weak points Saw that the hotel has been installing and updating their room furniture with new ones. This is a good thing. Would assume that extends to mattresses as well.

“Very good holiday spot for families”

Having read many reviews regarding the Holiday Inn, we were pleased to have found it to be exactly as expected-- a good and safe retreat for a family of four, nothing fancy, a beautiful layout but a bit crowded. The hotel looks exactly like the pictures. There are a number of beaches available, each with different perks. The busiest has ready access to entertainment, chairs, food, swimming, water sports. There are many other quiet spots if you are quick to get up and mark your place. On one end is a beach for adults only and the other a quieter place near restrooms, mini golf and tennis. That's not to mention the island if you don't mind travelling through water throughout the day. Finally the main pool was gearing for kids, not to deep and daily activities and games. The food was very American. Waffle bar was tasty, omelettes well-done, and we all enjoyed the pizza. The restaurants, however, were disappointing. We reserved the Italian and the seafood and were not impressed by either one. The food was just okay. Would rather have spent time at the buffet. Ps. If you love desserts like I do, don't try any here:( Small, chewy and tasteless. Not a one was good; look great but you will be disappointed (except the soft-served ice cream at the bar outside...). The room was typical Holiday Inn. We were in building 7, which is a bit too close to the road. We could here traffic and car horns frequently, even with the air conditioner running non-stop. For a family, it was a bit too far from the action. Try for building 5 if you get the chance. Of course the night time entertainment was not too bad either. We liked the circus acts and the singer we had the first night (Clarke?). They sure brain-wash you with relaxing and happy music (you will be singing all week). There was enough to do without leaving the resort. So if you are looking for a reasonably priced holiday for a family get together, this place is a very good choice. Just be prepared to slow time to Jamaican time. Everything there is no problem...

The strong points Safe, clean, lots of family activities, availability of food The weak points Taste and variety of food, staff was too laid-back

“Holiday Inn Sunspree”

“Jamaican Holiday”

We loved the Holiday Inn Sunspree with its fast, efficient check in, great meals, beautiful grounds and clean, spacious rooms. We would definitely return. 4**** The best part was the No-Smoking Beaches and Lobby. Make it an all adult inclusive to beat the others.

The strong points Non-smoking beach, lobby and rooms. Excellent food Great entertainment and early Lovely clean, spacious rooms Close to the airport Friendly fast service at bars, front desk and restaurants. The weak points Too many children running wild
