WATER PROBLEMS AT Victoria Canada

Flights were running on time at Victoria International Airport yesterday, but water wasn’t running at all. A water main ruptured at the airport, just north of the city, early Wednesday morning, cutting off water to the Air Terminal Building.

Food services, other than basic flight services, were suspended until taps were flowing again.

Bottled water was being distributed to passengers, and portable washrooms were brought in.

The road directly in front of the main terminal was closed and all traffic was directed through the short term parking lot while repairs to the broken pipe are underway.

By 5:45 pm, the terminal frontage road had reopened and vehicle traffic had returned to normal.

Repairs to the water main had been made and potable-water testing was underway.
