Norwegian Cruise Line is developing a new programme intended to support the independent travel agent. Recognizing that, “It’s the fastest growing segment of the industry” Alex Pinelo, Norwegian’s vice president of key accounts said, “independent agents felt they aren’t getting the support they need. They feel invisible.”

Clark Reber, director of trade marketing and engagement will lead the Partners First team. With 20 years of cruise experience he will be working closely with hosts to determine how support for their members can be achieved.
Reber will work with Norwegian’s business development managers to ensure they are serving independent agents in their area.
He will oversee the company’s first independent travel professional advisory board of 20 members and organize fam cruises and produce a dedicated monthly newsletter. He will offer exclusive webinars for independent travel professionals.
Reber will also be working with industry associations that have independents as members, including ASTA, CLIA, NACTA, the National Association of Career Travel Agents and CCRA (formerly OSSN).
