AIR TRANSAT ADDS MORE FLIGHTS FOR WINTER

With over 70 direct flights to the South from Toronto during peak season, and daily flights to Punta Cana and Cancun, Air Transat will be warming up winter! Also new this winter are flights to Cartagena (Colombia), Managua (Nicaragua) and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), and increased flight frequency to San Jose (Costa Rica), Puerto Vallarta (Mexico) and Havana (Cuba) during winter.

From Ottawa, Air Transat will offer a new flight to Cayo Coco (Cuba) in addition to two weekly flights to Punta Cana and Cancun.
Travellers from Western Canada will also benefit from an enriched programme this winter, featuring a new flight to Los Cabos from Vancouver.
From Calgary, service to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun will be available three times a week during peak season.
Travellers from Edmonton will have access to four weekly flights to Cancun and three to Puerto Vallarta.
From Halifax, Air Transat will be operating three weekly flights to Punta Cana and two to Santa Clara (Cuba), Varadero, Cancun and Orlando.

La Altagracia is the easternmost province of the Dominican Republic. Punta Cana is located on the eastern shores of this province. The province was part of the old La Altagracia Province, which split into 2, La Altagracia Province and La Romana Province on February 27, 1961. The name "La Altagracia" commemorates a painting, Our Lady of La Altagracia, which was brought to this area from Spain in the early 16th century.

Cancún is a coastal city in the popular vacation destination called ''The Mexican Caribbean'', more officially known as the state of Quintana Roo, on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Cancún is the municipal seat of the Benito Juárez municipality and a world-renowned balneario and tourist resort. It is composed of fourteen miles of pristine white beaches shaped like a number "7", home of the Mayan archaeological wonders, turquoise seas, a bountiful underwater world, and world-class vacation amenities. It is still considered the gateway to the Mayan World (El Mundo Maya). Mayan temples and ritual sites are everywhere, some smothered by lush jungle, others easily accessible. The Cancun hotel zone is almost entirely built around the tourist industry. It abounds with all-inclusive resort hotels.

Cayo Coco is an island in the Jardines del Rey chain off the north coast of Ciego de Avila province in Cuba. Cayo Coco is very relaxing and is the perfect place to go to if you want to do close to nothing for your vacation. You will find a few resorts, a spa, an international clinic (hospital), a night club (the Bat Cave) and an airport. In other words, there is not much to do or to visit there but sometimes all you need for your vacation is a little calm and quiet, and you will find that in Cayo Coco.

Santa Clara

Santa Clara is the capital city of the Cuban province of Villa Clara. It is located in the most central region of the province and almost in the most central region of the country. Founded by 175 people on July 15, 1689,  Santa Clara is a place to enjoy romantic sunsets, colonial history and fun times.
